Historic French Homestead

This property has historical significance as it was the original French Delegation property that was built in 1914. The residence was the home of the french Governor for Espritu Santo and the Northern Islands. It a beautiful colonial design with a large living room and two bedrooms, 2 large verandahs,and two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen runs off one wing which leads to a laundry area.

The home has been extensively redecorated in contemporary colours and much restoration has been done using local; hardwoods.

The second building was the "The Gendarmerie" (french police station) also recently renovated and in good condition. There is also a jail building of 28m2.
